Please be aware of a ‘fake taxi’ scam at UBC Vancouver
Campus Security is aware of two incidents in recent days where members of the UBC community have been scammed by a “fake taxi”. If you are approached and asked to pay a fare for a taxi ride, please leave the area and call 9-1-1, then notify Campus Security at 604-822-2222.

Save lives with an AED
An automated external defibrillator (AED) is an easy-to-use, portable device that can restart a person's heart. Anyone can use an AED. The device will only administer an electrical shock if the heart needs it. Learn where AEDs are located on campus.
Incident at AMS Nest
RCMP have confirmed the item seen was a water gun, the building is safe and all normal operations have resumed with no threat to the university.
